The Israeli Economy in the Era of Globalization: Strategic Implications (Hebrew)

Globalization offers risks and opportunities for Israel. This study surveys the strengths and weakness of the Israeli economy in 2007, and advises that the current economic policy is not adequate to realize Israel’s long term growth potential. Authors Landa and Even urge the government to take immediate steps to raise the percentage of the population represented in the work force; adopt an aggressive policy to attract foreign investors and global companies, and to narrow the gap in size between the public sector and the private sector.
