Tshetshik Prize Ceremony 2025

The Institute for National Security Studies (INSS) held a special ceremony to award the Tshetshik Prize (2025), in memory of the late Lt. Col. Meir and Rachel Tshetshik.
The prize is awarded annually in recognition of outstanding contributions to research, thought, and practice in the field of Israel’s national security.
The event was attended by the Institute's leadership and researchers as well as the laureates and their guests. It reflected the Institute’s ongoing commitment to research excellence, the encouragement of innovative thinking, and the strengthening of professional discourse on key strategic issues. We would like to thank all the researchers who submitted their books to the committee, and we look forward to continuing to cultivate this tradition in the years to come.
The First Prize was awarded to: Prof. Eitan Shamir and Prof. Edward Luttwak for their book: "The Art of Military Innovation".
Two Second Prizes were awarded to: Brig. Gen. (Res.) Eran Ortal for his book: "The Story of the IDF's Transformation" (המלחמה שלפני: סיפור ההשתנות של צה"ל) and Brig. Gen. (Res.) Dr. Meir Finkel for his book: "Military Intelligence: In a Complex and Changing Reality" (אמ"ן: במציאות מורכבת ומשתנה)
