Israel is facing a new security, diplomatic, and economic reality. The campaign against Iran and its proxies, geopolitical changes in the Middle East, pressures from the international arena, and internal challenges present decision-makers with new questions about the country's future and how it will look in the coming decade.
Against this backdrop, the Yedioth Ahronoth group, in collaboration with the Institute for National Security Studies (INSS), will hold the National Security Conference, which will bring together politicians, senior defense establishment officials, researchers, and professionals, to discuss Israel's evolving security reality and threat map.
Central to the conference will be the initial presentation of INSS Index of Threats Facing Israel findings. This large-scale study, based on national public opinion polls and in-depth work by over 100 experts in the fields of security, policy, economics, and society, maps public perception and expert assessment of the key threats facing Israel--including Iran, the Palestinian arena, Israel's international standing, national resilience, and economic challenges.
A special comparative assessment, examining Israel's situation on the eve of October 7 compared to its current situation in the security, diplomatic, economic, and social arenas, will be presented. This will seek to address whether Israel has entered a new security era since the outbreak of the war.
