Aristotle Tziampiris’ new book, The Emergence of Israeli–Greek Cooperation, is one of the few comprehensive studies focusing on Israeli–Greek relations. As such, it is a truly significant contribution to our comprehension of this intriguing bilateral relationship. Tziampiris, an associate professor at the Department of International and European Studies of the University of Piraeus, as well as the director of its Center for International and European Affairs, naturally focuses more on the Greek side and the view from Athens, though he also provides a competent analysis of Israeli considerations behind the improvement in ties between Jerusalem and Athens
