The Coronavirus Crisis: Advisory Discussion between INSS and the NSC

National Security Adviser and head of the National Security Council Meir Ben-Shabbat and INSS Director Maj. Gen. (ret.) Amos Yadlin, joined by senior figures from both organizations, held a Zoom-based meeting on Wednesday, May 6, 2020 on the coronavirus crisis. The meeting was designed to exchange ideas and views on the lessons and significance of the crisis, and preparations for the coming phases. The meeting also dealt with the political and security implications of the crisis.

From INSS, joining the Director, were former IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. (ret.) Gadi Eisenkot, Brig. Gen. (res.) Assaf Orion, Brig. Gen. (ret.) Itai Brun, and Orly Hayardeny.

The heads of the National Security Council and INSS agreed to continue their joint discussions on the implications of the crisis for national security issues.
