Initiated in 1984, the National Security and Public Opinion Project monitors Israeli public opinion on issues related to national security. Surveys undertaken and cited in this report were comprised of representative samplings of the adult Jewish population of Israel. Since 1998, these have included individuals from kibbutzim and from settlements in the Occupied Territories. The margin of error of the 2001 survey was 13.1 percent. Sample size was 1,216.
