
Yesterday Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India met with the heads of Israel's leading think tanks. PM Modi stressed the importance of strategic research institutes in designing and advising government policy. The executive director of the INSS, Amos Yadlin, attended the meeting and presented the Institute's activities to Prime Minister Modi; Yadlin highlighted the INSS's efforts to contribute to Israel's national security discourse by combining Zionist vision, Israeli innovation, cutting edge strategy, and pro-active policy recommendations. Yadlin also spoke about his grandfather, David Cohen, who envisioned an Israel-India alliance more than six decades ago, and about Israeli innovation, the IAF, the development of cyber capabilities, and the importance of the three-part alliance between the U.S., India, and Israel.
