The annual Yariv Memorial Conference, which also marked the opening conference of INSS, was held at Tel Aviv University on Tuesday, October 31. This year's conference, "Ramifications of the Second Lebanon War," explored aspects to the war and its impact on the regional environment. A panel of three Knesset members (Ephraim Sneh of Labor, Otniel Schneller of Kadima, and Yisrael Katz of Likud) traded ideas on how the Israeli-Palestinian arena has been affected by the war. The conference closed with an address by Defense Minister Amir Peretz.
