On March 5, 2019, Israeli writer A. B. Yehoshua met with a forum of researchers from the Institute for National Security Studies in order to present the "de-facto partnership model" that he has developed as an alternative to the two-state paradigm (not as a solution to the conflict), and in order to engage in discussion with INSS researchers regarding the basic premises and essence of the model. He reached the idea after coming to the conclusion that in light of the reality of the past few years, a two-state solution is not feasible, and the reality on the ground erodes Jewish and Palestinian morality and endangers both peoples.
