    Amal Hayek is a research assistant in the Syria Research Field at the Institute for National Security Studies. He holds a bachelor's degree in behavioral sciences and a master's degree in international relations and Strategy from Bar-Ilan University. Currently, he is writing a thesis focused on non-state actors.
