Elisa Levi Sabattini is a Research Fellow in the Israel-China program at INSS, Senior Research Associate at the Department of Chinese Language and Literature at Ruhr Universität Bochum, and affiliated Scholar at the Frieberg Center for Asian Studies of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Elisa received her PhD in Chinese Studies (History and Philology) at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice and INALCO of Paris in 2006. In 2007 she was granted a Research Fellowship at the Center for Chinese Studies, National Library, Taipei, and from 2007 to 2009 was a Chiang Ching-kuo Post-Doctoral Scholar at KULeuven, Belgium. Gal Mendel, a research assistant in the Israel-China program at INSS, is a graduate student (MA) in East Asian Studies at Tel Aviv University. His field of research is the history of science in Japan and China in the 19th and 20th centuries and the social history of science and physics in 20th century China. He holds a BA (summa cum laude) in East Asian Studies from Tel Aviv University.

Ambassador Dr. Eyal Propper joined the INSS research staff after a long career in the Foreign Service, where he specialized primarily in China and Arms Control matters. He completed three terms of service in China: Consul General in Shanghai (2017-2020), Minister and Deputy Ambassador in Beijing (2002-2006) and Press, Academic and Cultural Officer in Beijing (1992-1995), immediately following the establishment of the diplomatic relations between Israel and China. Brigadier general (Res.) Assaf Orion is a Senior Researcher at the INSS and Director of The Diane & Guilford Glazer Israel-China Policy Center.
Since joining the INSS in 2015, following 32 years of IDF service, he directed the BDS and de-legitimization program, participated in projects and programs on Syria, Lebanon and Israel-Palestinians, and headed the INSS international research group. In 2018 he was a visiting military fellow in The Washington Institute for Near East Policy in Washington DC, later to become its international fellow.

Galia Lavi is a researcher and Deputy Director of The Diane & Guilford Glazer Israel-China Policy Center. Her main areas of research are Israel-China relations, with a focus on infrastructure; China's foreign policy in the Middle East; Belt and Road Initiative (BRI); And China-United States relations. Galia is also a doctoral student at the School of History of Tel Aviv University and her field of study is the history of technology in China in the 19th and 20th centuries, focusing on the development of railways. She holds a BA and an MA (Summa Cum Laude) in East Asian Studies from Tel Aviv University.

Amb. Dr. Oded Eran, a senior researcher at the Institute for National Security Studies (INSS), served as director of INSS from July 2008 to November 2011, following a long career in Israel's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other government positions. Dr. Eran passed away in September 2023, at the age of 82.
In his most recent post before joining INSS, Dr. Eran served as the World Jewish Congress Representative in Israel and the Secretary General of the WJC Israel Branch.
