Colonel (Res.) Boaz Rakocz is the Chief Impact and Policy Officer of INSS. In his last role, he served as Chief of Staff at the Ministry of Public Security and Senior Advisor to the Ministry's Director General. In the past, he founded "The Whistle" – Israel’s first fact-checking platform for public discourse, which was acquired and integrated by Globes newspaper, and served as the founding Executive Director of the "Social Guard" – an organization which operated in the Knesset to promote social-economic legislation and enhance transparency through civic engagement.
As a commanding officer, Rakocz led the transformation of Division Artillery and Close Air Support HQs in the IDF. He holds a BA in History and Security Studies from the Hebrew University and an MA in International Relations from Columbia University in New York. Rakocz is married and a father of two.
