INSS hosted a book launch for The Longer Shorter Path, written by former IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. (ret.) Moshe (Bogie) Ya’alon. In the book, Ya’alon presents his insights from his many years of service to the State of Israel on central issues that have figured on Israel’s agenda, and analyzes the internal and external factors that influenced critical decisions in which he was involved.
Following opening remarks by Ilan Greenfield of Gefen Publishing, which published the book, Dr. Michal Yaari interviewed Lt. Gen. (ret.) Ya’alon, who then answered questions from the audience. This was followed by a lecture by Amotz Asael, fellow at the Shalom Hartman Institute. INSS Deputy Director for Research and Analysis Brig. Gen. (ret.) Itai Brun delivered concluding remarks.
