On February 4, 2019, the Institute for National Security Studies (INSS) held a closed conference, “Research Institutes in the Era of Post-Truth and Fake News,” in the framework of the Lipkin-Shahak Program. The conference was one of a series of similar events organized by research institutes around the world, in context of a program at the University of Pennsylvania on ranking research institutes and think tanks. This year’s topic was “Why Facts and Think Tanks Matter.”
