The Institute for National Security Studies (INSS) and the IDF Maarachot journal held a joint conference on November 21, 2019 on the subject of ground maneuver as an essential tool in national security. The conference took place following a study conducted in the conceptual laboratory at the IDF Operations Directorate on the need for a General Staff concept regarding a multi-branch ground maneuver. The purpose of the study was to create a base of shared theoretical knowledge; its main principles were published in articles by Ma'arachot.
