The campaign along the border of the Gaza Strip is one of the most prominent and significant examples of a cognitive campaign in recent years. It was designed as such from the outset, and the Hamas movement that took control of the project turned it into an organized campaign whose actions and results were intended to influence and shape consciousness in four main arenas: the international arena, the regional arena, the Palestinian arena, and the Israeli arena. In the symposium we will examine the characteristics, rationales, meanings, and effectiveness of the cognitive-media campaign, as well as the way the state performs in the cognitive battle, which is assuming a growing role and demanding increasing efforts on the part of the state.
