Key Findings
This scenario was selected by 19% of respondents as one of the three main threats (22% in the previous wave). The other measures also remained similar across the two waves: 18% assess the likelihood of its occurrence as high or very high (the same percentage as in the previous wave), and 48% anticipate high or very high damage (49% in the previous wave). In the July survey, 42% of the full public sample assess the State’s preparedness for this scenario as low or very low.
Perceived anticipated damage across the various domains is among the lowest of all scenarios, with the most significant domain being emotional and social resilience (43%).
