H.E. Mr. Jaap de Hoop Scheffer Secretary General of NATO spoke at INSS on Sunday evening, January 11, 2009, in an event sponsored by INSS with the Atlantic Forum of Israel, in conjunction with the NATO Public Diplomacy Division. Stating that a NATO role in ending the violence in Gaza was not foreseen, the Secretary General said NATO could contribute meaningfully if certain critical conditions were met.
