INSS held the second session of its annual conference series, "Security Challenges of the 21st Century" on December 17-18. The focus of this year's conference was "The US and Israeli Roles in the Middle East under Changing Political Circumstances." Among the participants from abroad: Former Senator George Mitchell; Congressman Howard Berman; Dr. Gary Samore; and Admiral (ret.) William Fallon. Prime Minister Ehud Olmert delivered the closing lecture.
